I purchased Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment (1oz/$105) from Sunday Riley as I am always interested in exfoliators whether they come in liquid, cream or scrub form. Purified lactic acid is "one of the most hydrating Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs). Lactic acid exfoliates the surface layers of the skin, revealing a more clarified, fresher, smoother, younger looking complexion. Helps fight a build-up of dead skin cells and excess sebum, which can lead to skin bumps, dullness, skin congestion, blackheads and eventually acne. Helps diminish the look of discolorations and dark spots." ALL of that sounded exactly like what I needed for my skin so I was 100% in. This product contains licorice which is naturally brightening, lemongrass which is refreshing with astringent-like properties and Arnica to soothe the skin. It is suitable for all skin types.
It comes in a pump which locks (thank you!), is white with a pungent scent which while not pleasant, is not overpowering or offensive. It has a slightly runny texture and stings ever so slightly on contact. I use about two pumps after cleansing which is plenty and then slather it down my neck, chest and hands too. I really like this product as it doesn't break me out, dry or flake my skin and has definitely reduced old spots and discoloration. My complexion looks more uniform and smooth. This was well worth the price and one bottle will last a long time. This has quickly become a must have product and works so well with my skin–it's a secret skincare weapon.
